About Phoebe
I’m a mum of two wonderful boys and wife to a supportive husband. I worked as a corporate accountant prior to starting our family and now have a privileged opportunity to teach and develop one of my early loves – art. I started attending art classes at the age of 6 and was blessed to have the opportunity to continue these art classes though my schooling years.
It would be around 20 years before I reintroduce art back in my life and I completed a diploma in Fine Arts at TAFE in 2015. During this time, I had the pleasure of entering one of my assignments into a local art competition and being a finalist for the Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing 2015.
I believe that ART can have a powerful positive influence in people's lives. As a mum and artist, I found it difficult to find modern art which wasn’t dark or full off shock-value with a message that places more emphasis on shocking the observer than creating inspiration.
Although these artistic works have their place, my hope is that our children, equipped with technical cleverness, can celebrate the beauty of life that surrounds us and bring hope and joy to both the artist and those who look on their art.
Our kids are little gems! Each one is wonderful and unique with differing personalities and artistic expressions but ALL are full of hope, joy and full of wonder about life.
